Landlord's Shoes

I sketched this out to relay the sound of our landlord stomping above us when me and my brother lived in a basement apartment together. We concluded that she must have a shoe collection that included elephants, smart cars, and bowling balls. It had to be something massive, its the only thing we could figure from all the noise that came with each footstep.

Airplane girl

On the way back from Oklahoma to see my sisters graduation, I had the pleasure of sitting in front of a spoiled mother/daughter combination that apparently didn't have any clue that the world did not revolve around them. This is saying alot since the girl was only about 4. She kicked the back of the seat for the hour or so ride that it takes to get to Denver and in that time period I had resolved to draw a cartoon depicting a few scenerios that could/should? have played out.

I sort of have a thing for Volkswagen buses, and often draw little skelaton characters. This guy's name is Skully. You'll probably see more of him.( and more buses).

My friend Nick...he's half French, half Lebanese, and wears a continual frown sometimes. I love this guy and he's one of the few people from college that I enjoyed and liked being around. He would sometimes make me coffee early in the morning and called me "Mother-F*cker" regularly. He's some big shot business man now, rollin' in dough.

When I worked as a hospital operator we had alot of down-time from answering phone calls and paging doctors, so I took it on myself to sketch a few of my friends. Clint was my roomie for the last year of college. He runs tillmanproject.com and is an awesome guy, more people should be real like Clint. -Note the Nerf gun ready to fire at me when I come home...We had battles.

This is part of the Superest Sketches. I stole the idea from www.thesuperest.com and started sketching with my co-workers and had a little fun. It was an excuse to draw characters you wouldn't normally think of drawing. A good test for illustrators.
